DPIIT notifies Transition Facilitation (Quality Control) Order, 2026

In brief

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), has issued¹ Transition Facilitation (Quality Control) Order, 2026 under the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) Act, 2016, which comes into force on 25 June 2026. It applies to goods covered under Quality Control Orders (QCOs) applicable to industries dealing in toys, footwear, air conditioners, electrical appliances, hinges and furniture (as specified in Annexure 1).
