I was part of the advisory markets team, in July 2022, and was based out of Gurugram. It was my first time in the Big Four.
I was initially overawed at the incredible world of consulting, but that quickly turned into a deep sense of respect for my colleagues and the firm. Every day felt like a chance to learn something new and push myself to get better. PwC is a brilliant example of being big, systematic, but empathetic.
I wanted to apply the softer skills I had picked up from PwC—managing stakeholders, applying frameworks and approaching projects from the point of view of delivering outcomes—to the industry. I led the marketing efforts for the APAC region for a leading systems integrator for a while.

Honestly, PwC always felt like home. I have always felt that the firm cares about its people. I feel many of my colleagues might resonate with this – I tend to do better in environments that nurture. PwC is the right mix of moments that push you, encourage you to keep trying to discover what you can really achieve, peppered with times you can allow yourself to take a pause and reflect on your journey. For a firm this big, it has two incredible qualities: empathy and respect for the individual. And of course, my colleagues who I now call my friends – we always worked brilliantly as a team.
Personally, I think I have grown more mature and patient (I like to think that, at least). I like to teach myself to be humbler – learning begins only then. Professionally, I always like to try out new things, solve problems through products and technologies, and I am definitely working harder at something that was always a weakness for me: guiding projects I once started towards a decisive goal. Starting with, well, rejoining PwC.
I rejoined the advisory markets team in Mumbai, in a slightly different role: I work on building the markets infrastructure aimed at improving advisory’s ease of going-to-market (through tech-led tools, GTM enablement assets, and such).
I have been working on a couple of tech-led GTM enablement solutions and awareness assets for our firm.
A tech-led, responsible and empathetic firm that continues to draw from its greatest asset – its people. I’d love to see us adopting a product-led mindset to solving problems. One thing that’s quite close to my heart: I’d love to see our firm invest efforts in more social causes (for our strays) – and I’d like to play a larger role in that.
