Komal Mistry

What was your role when you first joined the firm?  

I started my career in SAM - Software Asset Management   Advisory at PwC in 2015 and it laid a strong foundation for my professional journey. 

What were your initial impressions and experiences?  

It felt familiar in all the right ways. The people-first ethos of PwC, the values, the culture – everything helped me feel at home from day one. 

What experiences or roles did you undertake after leaving?  

After moving on from PwC, I continued to grow within the same industry, taking on different designations that broadened my perspective and deepened my expertise. These roles allowed me to build on the foundation PwC had laid, while exploring new challenges and leadership opportunities. In 2022, I rejoined the firm, bringing with me a richer and more diverse set of experiences.

What motivated you to rejoin PwC?  

Rejoining the firm has been a deeply meaningful experience – like returning home, but to a place that has grown and evolved, much like I have. It was a reaffirmation of the values I hold dear: collaboration, integrity and meaningful impact.

How have you grown personally and professionally since rejoining?  

Throughout my journey, I’ve had the privilege of continuously learning, leading with responsibility, and growing in ways that matter. PwC invests in who you are and who you aspire to become. 

What is your current role?  

I am currently an assistant manager in the advisory line of service, within the business risk consulting practice. In this role, I help clients proactively manage risks and strengthen their internal controls through tailored, insight-driven solutions.  

What contributions are you most proud of since rejoining?  

Since rejoining, I’ve had the opportunity to work on impactful engagements, including an on-site opportunity that came my way as a result of consistent high-quality work. I’ve been fortunate to receive multiple recognitions for both teamwork and individual contributions, and it’s especially fulfilling to know that our clients have expressed their appreciation for the value we’ve delivered. These moments of trust and acknowledgment are what I’m most proud of.  

What vision do you have for the future of the firm? 

PwC is a place where empathy is embedded in leadership, mentorship and culture – my vision is for it to continue being a space that leads with people-first values while enabling meaningful impact.
