The situation

The client encountered difficulties in adhering to the required industry standards which was impacting their compliances and operational efficiency. Also, there was a lack of web application interface leading to a difficult systematic user experience. Moreover, the operational costs of IT infrastructure were on the higher side, putting a strain on their budget and resources. The absence of automation in the weighbridge system also led to challenges in tracking and efficiency

The solution

  • Within six months of starting the work, PwC’s team helped the client to implement seven key SAP modules: Material management, sales and distribution, production planning, quality management, plant maintenance, project system and financial accounting and controlling. PwC’s team also assisted in implementing client’s custom apparel solution based on garments industry’s best practice by using side-by-side extensibility. The PwC team also prepared an automated QR scanning transit pass generation.
  • The PwC team helped in automating the details for E- way bill generation. The required e-invoicing and EWB integration were also carried out. The PwC team also undertook logistics management with weighbridge integration for assisting the client with accurate weight measurement.
  • The PwC team also provided the client with the options to integrate weighbridge with FASTag, that helped in eliminating the need for manual interventions.
  • A required data migration for legacy reporting was established for historical data accessibility which could be used for data analysis.
