Making a difference

The Corporate Responsibility team along with NGO partner, Project Life, recently organised a blood donation camp in the Kolkata DN office on 28 June 2019. It was heartening to see 148 donors come together to make this a huge success, out of which we could collect 126 units of blood.

There were several first time donors as well. They were welcomed with a loud applause. As a token of appreciation, all the donors were given a certificate with a picture of them after donating blood.

Let's look at what the volunteers have to say

“Donating blood help in saving a soul and there is no great joy than this. This small initiative on our part has the power to make a difference between life and death and just the thought of making a huge difference in somebody's life by sparing 15 mins of my life, gives me eternal happiness."

Neeti Nevatia

“It's been a great initiative by PwC to organise such camps in our office campus. Given our busy lives, we don't think of going to a blood donation camp separately but when the camp is coming up to us, this is the least and the simplest thing we can do for mankind. And this line " Kisi ki ragho me daud k dekho.. acha lagta hai" sums up the whole feeling of donating blood."

Ajay Ruia

"I donated blood for the first time at this camp in my office. I had always wanted to donate but never took the initiative. Now when I have donated, it feels really good to know that a few minutes of mine and a little effort could prove to be life-saving for someone else. And obviously, I will keep donating from now on."
