Education and training is a catalyst that enables a country to benefit from its demographic dividend. In April 2010, the Government of India implemented the Right to Education ( RTE) Act to provide free and compulsory education to all children in the age group of 6-14 years.
This publication from PwC analyses the key challenges faced by the Indian states, particularly the north Indian ones, and provides practical suggestions for the effective implementation of the Act. It highlights certain opportunities, constraints and challenges with the objective of stimulating thought and innovative ideas.
